UNICEF Rights and Responsibility: Article 15

(Freedom of association) Every child has the right to meet with other children and to join groups and organisations, as long as this does not stop other children from enjoying thier rights.

Our Class

Our doors open at 8.45am each morning. The children are encouraged to come into class independently and hang their belongings up on their pegs. Our school day finishes at 3.15pm.

Physical Education

Children will require their PE kit in school at all times. Our P.E day this half term is Thursday.
They will need a red t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps. Children will not be able to participate in P.E if they do not have their P.E kit in school.

Home Learning

Reading

Reading books are given on a Thursday with books linked to Read Write Inc. Children should read at least 4 times per week for 15-20 minutes. Please sign the reading diary and return to school with the book. Feel free to write any comments about how well your child reads or if there was a particular sound or word that they needed support with. 

Spellings

Children will have 10 new spelling words to learn every Thursday. These will be words that have been taught in class that week. 

TT Rock Stars can be accessed for Year 2 at least 2 times per week to practise and consolidate multiplication facts learnt during Maths lessons.

Activities to consolidate learning in class will also be set on IXL. 

It is important that you help and support your child to complete their homework. If you are unsure how you can support your child, please do not hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher.
