Year 2 2021 - 2022

Home Learning

Hello all, I know that the next few weeks will be very different from what we would normally expect but for those working from home, tasks will be set for you using our online learning platform: Google Classrooms/Tapestry. Everyone has been given a login and we have practised using this in class. A helpful logging in sheet has been sent to you. If there are any problems, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We will upload new tasks each morning for you to complete throughout the day. These tasks will be set using: video links, links to websites and worksheets saved into the file labelled with the date. Some tasks will require the use of a screen and some may be completed on paper if you prefer.

We are going to send everyone's passwords through for you to have another copy in case some of you are missing any, as some tasks may be set using the resources we use both in school and for homework.

The tasks we upload can be completed on Google Classrooms- in docs so that we can mark them or it can be completed on paper and an adult can send a picture of that into school for us to see using

A timetable for home learning will be sent which may be used to support timings throughout the day.

Thank you everyone for all your hard work- we hope to see you all again soon.

Class Prayers

Lunchtime: For all we eat and all we wear,
For daily bread and nightly care,
We thank you Heavenly Father. Amen

Keep me in thy loving care,
Be my guide in all I do,
Bless all those who love me too. Amen

UNICEF Rights and Responsibility: Article 15

(Freedom of association) Every child has the right to meet with other children and to join groups and organisations, as long as this does not stop other children from enjoying thier rights.

School Council

Our council representatives were chosen by the class in a democratic vote. Each child performed a speech to persuade the class to vote for them. Well done to everyone who put their names forward.

Our winners were:

Golden Apples

We have promised to try our best to gain our 5 leaves for: Service, Community, Justice, Friendship and Creation.

Children's University

At the end of Year 1, all credits that we have earned move forward to Year 2. We gain credits through attending after school clubs, participating in sports teams for the school, jobs we do in school and also by having our passports stamped at learning destinations for example: museums and clubs outside of school.

Physical Education

Children will require their PE kit in school at all times.
They will need a red t-shirt, black shorts and black pumps. Children will not be able to participate in P.E if they do not have thier P.E kit in school.

Online Safety

An Important Note to Parents and Carers.

Please be aware of online safety when our children go on the Internet. The link below offers information and advice about keeping our children safe online. It also has a valuable reminder of the importance of keeping passwords secure.
