Homework
Year 1 Homework
Welcome to Year One!
Please read nightly with your child and sign their reading records to show how much they have read as well as adding any comments relating to their reading that you may have. Please write in the reading records how many pages they have read/where they are up to so we can see how much they are reading each time.
You may wish to comment on effort, fluency, any areas they are finding tricky such as certain sounds, engagement level or anything else relevant.
Children are expected to put their reading books in the reading tray each morning to be checked and changed if necessary. We may not change your child's book if we feel they need a little more time ot develop their fluency or comprehension further. We will always speak to you to explain our reasons for this.
Spellings will be completed in RWI groups and will be handed out on Friday and will be tested the following Thursday.
Thank you for your support.
