Would you like to do some fieldwork in your own garden?  You can take part in #Fieldworklive between Monday 20th April and Friday 1st May from your own home.  There are sessions aimed at KS2 which include Soil Exploation (20.04.20) Creative Exploration (24.04.20) Habitat Exploration (30.04.20).  All you need to do is register here and book the sessions that you would like to take part in.  There will be resources available before the sessions and the opportunity to ask the experts questions.  Please ensure that you check with an adult beforehand and ask them to register for you.  We hope you enjoy carrying out some fantastic fieldwork and this inspires you to try out some more.

Digimap for Schools

Digimap is a super resource which allows you to look at maps of the UK and explore your local and wider environment.  You can access current and past maps and look at the changes over the years.  Maybe you could find places that you know - your house, school, family members homes, places of interest in the UK e.g. Big Ben, Angel of the North.  You can follow and measure routes, add photos and use emojis to show how you feel about your environment.  Have a go and get exploring!

World Knowledge

Don't forget there are areas of world knowledge which you should know by the end of the year.  Take a look at your world knowledge organiser to see what you should know (download below) and get practising using these games.  Don't forget that it is always helpful to revist learning from previous years.  Maybe you could challenge yourself to learn somwthing new so that you can impress your teacher when you return to school.  Good luck!
